I'm not promising Vray support. I just want to get some feedback about how important it is.

I never use VRay, so I voted "Other features are more important".
I've seen any number of flame wars about whether VRay or Mental Ray is better, and while it does seem as if VRay has some very nice features, it doesn't seem to be compelling enough for the kinds of usage scenarios I have when compared to the default out-of-the-box renderer.
I have to admit that I'm a little curious exactly what is necessary to add support in PrimComposer. I wouldn't have thought it would be all that involved, but I guess that just shows my ignorance about VRay :)

The biggest problem for me to support it is that I don't have Vray and it is expensive.

Does this help? I use VRay (V-Ray Adv 1.5 RC5), but I bake my textures manually so it has never been a serious problem.
You could also try contact chaosgroup directly, worth a try.
