Hello Shack,

Reproducing:

1. Create one sculpted prim in-world.

2. Copy it 5 times , link it.

3. Export the linkset with maxproxy

4. Import it in 3ds max (tested with 2009 and 9 versions)

5. Export it again

Result – 6 identical sculpt maps are exported , and upload cost is 60L

Expected result – 1 sculpt map, used for all prims , cost 10L

I hope this isn't too hard to fix. There are max scripts that can create instances manualy ,but it will be nice to be automatic in import process.

This is the script i'm using to make instances manualy:

Thanks for reporting this.

3ds Max to SL/OpenSim works as expected, but yes, it's true, I haven't implemented instancing when moving from SL/OpenSim to 3ds Max.  Added as Ticket 147.  I'll take a look at it.
