Hello I d like to ask if its possible to create separated sculpts with 3dsmax and sculpt gen like it is with wngs 3d so in order to create separated elements …..

I don't understand what you mean.  Could you describe what you mean in more detail or provide a link to a webpage that talks about doing this in Wings 3d?

I mean for example take a cube and cut into two separated cubes so that in game they look two different prims but instead are like just ne , I can do this in Wings 3d prety easily and works great but in max it always comes up messed up …. is there another technique?

As far as I know, it works fine in Prim Composer.

I performed the following experiment:

  1. Created a cylinder sculptie using SculptShape with Create As = Editable Poly and Shape = cylinder
  2. Selected the top half of the vertices and moved them up.
  3. Selected the middle two rows and made them planar in X and Y by pressing the X and then the Y button in the Edit Geometry rollout.
  4. Exported using Prim Composer and Imported into SL using Maxport. The result looks like two separate objects, but is really one sculptie.

Ok thanks I ll try may be it didnt wourl couse I was using the shader for export , I ll try again thanks…..
