I posted this question in the PrimComposer forum, but I have since realized that this one is probably more appropriate to my situation.
Basically, I have an Editable Poly that I want to creat a sculpt map from using SculptGenMax, which is a part of PrimComposer 1.2.5 that I downloaded. However, when I follow the instructions to select the object, run SculptGenMax and choose “File > Generate Sculpmap from selected”, I am given an error message along with a window showing the script code for SculptGenMax.ms, apparently. The error message states:
MAXScript RCMenu function Exception
– Unknown property: “vertColor” in undefined
I've noticed that this is occuring with imported .OBJ files, not with creating something from scratch using Max's built-in primitives… Does anyone happen to know why this is happening and what I can do to correct it? Maybe something during export from my other application or during import in 3ds Max?
Let me know, please, if I need to upload a sample .MAX file so people can see what I'm talking about… Thanks!
Push the button, Frank.

Well, I'm not the Max expert that Shack is, but I'd be happy to take a stab at it if you want.

Hi there
I got the same problem as wanted to make a terracotta-flower pot.
Made a sculpshape – with Cylinder shape.
when export i get the:
** 1 Errors:
– (1) SCULPTGEN FAILED in prim 'Cylinder001' -> — Unknown property: "vertColor" in undefined
Then i start all over again, and export everytime i did some modifying. And the problems arrives after i have done
next Modifying after Taper – that goes well.
I wanna close the buttom by selecting all verts at lowest stack, and collapse.
