Has anyone gotten PLP to work with WP2.5?
I don’t seem to be getting an mrss feed from any pages. It doesn’t seem to work with nextgen gallery or with just static images in the page/post.
I’m at http://www.liveinalpharetta.com/blog/ngt
and

thx, k.

I’m in the process of upgrading several components on liferain.com to the latest versions. That includes WP2.5 and nextgen 0.92.
Hopefully, I’ll have the website working with WP2.5 by this time tomorrow. As soon as that’s done, I’ll take a look at PLP in WP2.5.

Kevin,
I’ve had a chance to test PLP with WP2.5 and it seems to work on my test site.
I also took a look at your website to see what I could find. I saw one problem that I know is fixed in PLP 1.0.5.8 (you appear to be running 1.0.5.5). So you definitely need to upgrade to the latest version of the plugin.
A couple of questions: Was piclens+ was working for you before you upgraded to WP2.5? What version of PHP is running on your website? PHP4 or PHP5?
Anyway, my recommendation is to upgrade to the latest version of piclens+ and see if that helps. If not, post again and I’ll take a fresh look at it.

I upgraded to WP 2.5 today and PLP has stopped working correctly. I'm using it together with NGG 0.92. It was working fine before the upgrade.
If you would like to take a look at my temporary site please go to http://olekanin.zapto.org (it's all in Norwegian, but I guess you can find the pictures…)

For some reason it is working now. Probably a cache issue somewhere. You can probably delete both of my posts in this thread

Tor Helge, thanks for posting!
I took a quick look at your site. One thing that I noticed is that my browser is having trouble downloading the file “…/plugins/wp-piclens-plus/javascript.php”. While this file isn't 100% essential, it is needed for the “Start Slideshow with PicLens Lite” link.
So, for me, piclens+ is working on your site when I click the image hover button, but it isn't working when I click the “Start Slideshow with PicLens Lite” links. It could be that the javascript.php file is missing or perhaps the file permissions are incorrect. I don't know for sure, but it is probably something that you need to take a look at.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

I've got a strange problem on my website as well using PHP 5.0 and WP 2.5 with your plugin:
Somehow the DomXHTML parser doesn't to parse anything of the content of my photo page and I don't know how to fix it.
Website: http://www.cpfroehlich.de/photos
Media-RSS: http://www.cpfroehlich.de/photos/feed/mrss/
Hopefully you can help me out with my problem.
Thank you very much in advance

Sorry for my last post - I finally solved the problem on my own. It was a “misconfiguration” of my othe plugin called PhotoXHibit. Now everything works like a charme - thank you very much for your very cool addon for PicLens.

Shack, sorry to take a dirtnap on ya.
I'm not sure if i had piclens working on this WP installation before upgrading to 2.5 or not. I have plp working on another WP2.3.3 install and i get confused what i have where, sorry.
I've installed plp 1.0.5.8 on the WP2.5 platform. I'm still not getting an mrss feed.
I am running php4.
Any help much appreciated because i love plp and would enjoy getting it to work.
thx, k.

Kevin, I don't see anything obviously wrong on your website.
I need to test plp with WP2.5 under PHP4 and see if it works. I've tested with WP2.5 and PHP5, but haven't yet done it for PHP4. I'll try to do that tomorrow and let you know if I find anything.

Okay, Kevin,
I've verified that plp does work with WP2.5, PHP4, and NGG 0.92.
And I've looked over your blog very carefully and I can't see anything that is an obvious problem. You are doing the same thing that I'm doing on my PHP4 test blog.
So that leaves two possible causes:
- a php4 configuration issue
- a conflict with another plugin
At this point, I really can't say. You can try deactivating other plugins to see if you can find one that is conflicting. It might also be helpful to turn on php's display_errors flag in php.ini. This might let us see an error message that could help.
Wish I had better news, but at this point I don't have enough information to solve the problem.

The only thing i'm seeing in the error log related to plp is:
[Tue Apr 08 11:36:39 2008] [error] [client 74.232.254.224] PHP Warning: domxml_open_mem(): Entity 'nbsp' not defined\n in /home/webadmin/liveinalpharetta.com/html/blog/wp-content/plugins/wp-piclens-plus/plplus-parse-php4-include.php on line 16
I disabled all plugins except ngg and plp and it still wouldn't work.
hummm….

Something is throwing off the parser, although I couldn't see what it was when I looked at it the last time. I'm having trouble accessing your site right now, but I'll take another look later with these error messages in mind.
domxml is picky, so unclosed tags and un-escaped & (ampersands) can cause it to fail. Seems like I saw some of that in your blog, but not in the content area where plp is looking. Anyway, I'll take another look later.

Okay, I think I know what's wrong with the ngt page . The parser in PHP4 cannot handle and the link at the top “Start Awesome 3d Slideshow” has at the end. I think all will be well if you remove it. I'm not sure if you typed it in or how it got there, but you need to remove the .
Note: the parser in PHP5 does not have this problem.
Most of the other errors in the log seem to be generated from this page and pages like them. The PHP4 parser also seems to have trouble with tables or maybe it is just a side-effect of a being in the page, too. Not sure.
As to the ng2 page , I don't think this will work with plp. plp is looking for images that can be clicked. It really wants a thumbnail that is linked to a fullsize picture.
Hope that helps. Let me know how it goes.

Also, I think I can modify plp so that it will automatically ignore . If I can get it to work, I'll put out a new version that fixes it.

Done! Check out plp 1.0.5.9. I think it will at least solve the problems on the ngt page.
